If it’s only 30 minutes a day of exercise required for standard health, then let us give those 30 minutes variety and have some fun with our fitness!
Many health plans I have run across contain information regarding what foods to eat and what foods to avoid. Each one of these sort of “general” diet plans includes one special ingredient..”PHYSICAL FITNESS”!!!
Here is a video that gets into the idea of 30 minutes a day
I find that video to be an entertaining reminder of how much time we really have on our hands. 30 minutes a day leaves room for choices. Here are some ideas from Stew Smiths website. listed are 20-30 minute exercises. Try these out if you feel you are ready!

Here are some exercise events that may last more than 30minutes
I feel it’s fun to get out there and do some outdoor activity!
Let’s start with riding bikes. There was a time where I had to ride my bike to a warehouse job. I lossed weight and saved money! Many cities have built designated paths dedicated to bicycle riding. Make sure your bike is in tip-top shape and grab your safety devices such as a helmet. Here is a site that may steer you in the right direction.

Some other fun ideas are to go out there and try some competitive sports. Sports such as tennis, raquet ball, or just running some fly patterns with the football can make exercise fun. It’s always fun to run out and catch that pass at 30 yards! Try playing basketball, but watch out for injuries or playing with hot headed competitors….it can get dangerous! I enjoy this exercise because you can go play with your friends and feel young again!
Hiking is great exercise that is less intense and fulfilling to the outdoor lover who seeks the peace found in the surroundings of nature. This isn’t so much a lunch time exercise at the gym in the corporate building. This is something done on the weekend with friends or loved ones. Find yourself a nice path and set aside a day to go for it. Pack some healthy granola bars and fruits for your hike. Out here in Southern California (or any mountainous region
there a large mountains with paths that go all the way to the top without the need for mountain climbing gear. In the midwest (or any region prone to winter snow;-) seasonal changes in the winter bring out some snow. At this point you can find a path that is designated for cross country skiing which is a fabulous workout! As stated, these exercises allow you to be one with nature and it’s a great feeling!
